Christian Distinctiveness

All Saints CE Primary School and Nursery is a school with a Church Foundation. This reflects the school's history and the involvement of The Church of England in the education of young people in their communities.  It does not mean our pupils or their families have to have a Christian faith, or any religious faith, but it does mean that all are expected to respect the beliefs of others.

As a school, we aspire to develop confident, curious learners who stand up for what is right and seek to be the best they can be. Our vision is that all pupils know they are special, unique and can make a contribution.

How is this rooted in the Bible?

‘Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.’ Matthew 5:16Our

Christian vision and Christian values of Compassion, Courage, Community and Curiosity permeate all aspects of life at All Saints CE School in the following ways and more:

Students and staff of all world views are encouraged to engage in opportunities to develop spirituality, allowing them to flourish socially and emotionally.

A broad and balanced curriculum provides bespoke opportunities for academic excellence, development of wisdom, knowledge and skills, alongside personal growth.

The learning culture in the school ensures opportunities for high aspiration and courageous advocacy for all.

Collective worship includes faith-based assemblies, SMSC assemblies and festival-based assemblies.

  • The school will continue to build strong links with the local churches and the wider community to maximise opportunities to collaborate through shared learning experiences.

The school is ‘outward facing’ and continue to find opportunities to support local and national charity work – service to others.

All learners follow a high quality, high impact RE curriculum providing opportunities to learn about, understand and reflect on inclusion and diversity through Christianity and other faiths.

  • All learners follow a broad PSHE curriculum providing explicit opportunities for spirituality, reflection and discussion.
