In Year 3/4 Science, we have been looking at rocks and soil. We identified fossils as a type of rock that form over a long period. In order to help us understand the process of fossilisation we created our very own ‘chocolate fossils’. We had great fun learning the process through the use of playdough (to act as the mould) and chocolate (to act as the layers of sedimentary rock). It was especially great revealing the fossil once the chocolate had set!
